I beleive the Deere Grille Guards leave allot to be desired when it comes to protecting a tractor's grille and radiator.....especially if operating in timber.

Here's a simple guard addition for the 300 or 400 loaders. It takes care of the big void that Deere is missing. Easy to install....and no changes to operation of the hood / guard pivot.

I dont think it makes any difference on the air flow.....plenty of room for air to get to the radiator.

The JD perforated grille on the tractor "fills" evenly with chaff when mowing....including behind my guard. I regularly use a shop "bench brush" to clear the chaff from my tractor.
