If you own one and have a fair amount of time using it, do you have any gripes about it? Pros and cons etc.?
Looking at couple used ZTRs, with the MOD option, like the z950a and z960a models.

General consensus from lawn care folks and my local Deere dealer is the MOD deck is not near as good a cut when side discharging. They tend to leave strays. The mulching portion is fine as long as its not significant growth.

Deere developed the MOD deck in Florida, with stiff warm season grasses. In norther climates with softer grass it does not work as well.

I could potentially live with that, if they are good for mulching leaves, which is really the only reason I'm considering one. It seems very convenient.

I love the MOD! Use it all the time! Does a great job with grass and leaves. I had replaced the worn out low lift original blades with high lift blades… left stragglers and small bunches when turning. Replaced my high lift blades with the new oem low lift mulching blades… made a significant difference! Only blade to use in my opinion. Good luck!
