So, I might've found a motor for my 317. It's a K321 wide base from a 214, ironically from the same guy I bought the 317 from. He is also offering to just give back my brother's 300 back. He's salvaged as many parts as he needs, and he can't seem to sell it.

So, should I just take the 300 frame and put all of the 317's parts on it?

A 214 motor is not setup for direct mount. It could fit a 300 frame, but very few 317 parts will fit a 300 chassis. The steering columns rotate the opposite directions, the hydraulic line routing is not mix and match........

Well I could reuse the lines and it has the steering, but the hydro pump is junk. Something's messed up in the transmission, so the tractor doesn't move and the hydraulics don't work.

For the motor I'm just going to get two pieces of steel to mount to the flanges.

I’m pretty sure you would need to lower the engine to get the driveshaft reasonably aligned.

With a deep oil pan it might work.
