This is probably a silly question but, when using a mmm do you set the throtle at rated speed or just go full throtle?

Your owners manual will tell you to set your RPM to the PTO indicator on the tachometer. At this RPM the PTO is at rated RPM.

However, that being said, some people do not run the RPM that high to save fuel, noise, etc. etc. I would not recommend it because you risk damage to your equipment and you won't have the rated HP available to run your mower or implement.

Hope that helps :D
I couldnt find anything in the manual talking about the mid pto. I know that setting it to rated rpm gives you 540 at the rear. I just wasnt sure if the mid pto for the mover operated the same way. I will probababy just set it at rate rpm.
It is the same, doesn't matter which PTO you are using, mid, rear, or both.
Ok, I figured as much. Thanks for the reply.
At the mark on the tachometer, the rear PTO is turning at 540 RPM and the mid PTO at 2100. You will get the best cut at this RPM because of the tip speed of the blades.
Just a Tip

Hey Starkey, If you are anything like me, you'll need to read the manuals 2 and 3 times cover to cover just obsorb all the info in them. You'll see things for the first time in the second and third readings you did not notice the first time. I even now, a couple of years later, have to go back and snuggle up with a good read. Some info is in the tractor manual and some in the implement manuals. Isn't it fun?

Im like that too. I feel asleep on the couch last night with the manual for the loader in my hands. Even on stuff I have owned a long time, I still read the manuals every now and then. I usually learn something too.
I recommend reading the manual and following the directions. That being said, I give her full throttle when cutting grass. :D
Crank it and shoot grass 7 feet away. I bought a mulch kit I get to install because I am tired of shooting grass all over the place. I will crank it wide open with the mulch kit as well.

I hope I do not regret the mulch kit as my yard has alot of sticks that fall, right now it shoots most of them out no problem, with the mulcher though, I may be stopping :<
