Have a new 1026r, looking for some type of hitch to move trailers around the property. Thought I could order something but no luck . Any ideas? My welder is shot and there is not one close enoough to borrow or I would make something. Thanks

Welcome to GTT!

:wgtt:

Great choice in tractors! Glad to see you here on GTT. The hitch recommendations have been covered. Omni makes some really great products. :drinks:

This is what I made up. I know you said your welder is shot. and too bad theres not one close you could use. I had all the materials in the barn, only cost was the time I spent welding it together.
I needed to trim is up so I didnt have a sharpe point on the end. I have 4 year old that wont leave stuff alone when he is in the barn with me.

I've got a Heavy Hitch that I swap between the 2305 and the 2720. It's very well made and gives me the hitch receiver and something to mount my Quick-Tatch weights. I'm very happy with it.

I really like the look of the heavy hitch (and Omni's product line). I went a different way for two reasons: 1)shipping cost 2)I don't want the extra weight on my hitch when I use it to move a heavy trailer. Sure you can take the suitcase weights off, but that's more work than what I have in mind:
I plan on putting together a separate weight box with a built in drawbar, so i can more readily attach/detach the rear ballast to the receiver.
