Mower Deck Adapter for 60D 7-Iron Deck

Anyone know where I can get a discharge shoot to fit the 60D 7-Iron MMM deck? I have a material collection system (like the on in the picture) that has been sitting in my garage for the past 3 to 4 years, thought I would modify it to fit on the 1026R. The shoot I am looking for must have a seven inch discharge. Any help would be appreciated. Joe

I have a dr unit that need to fit my 1026r also. This is the adaptor that they sell. Not sure on the size of the opening thought.
Trac-Vac may be able to help also: http://www.trac-vac.com/#
Thanks for the replies, I'll check with both of them.

I have the same MCS for my 1026 but NOW I'm trying to figure out how to attach/fabricate a front mount dethatcher.... With auto-connect in the way! If someone comes up with an idea please post it. I'm open to any or all thoughts.............. Oh, along with 7 weight bracket in the way! Thank YOU
I checked with my local dealer and it appears John Deere makes one "Mower Boot 60-in. 7-Iron mower deck. LP23082 $84.00". I'll let you know if it will work when it gets here!

Did you order one? This is a great find, as i asked my dealer if there was anything besides a power flow and was told no.

keep us posted as I will be ordering one myself if it looks like the right part.

Look under MC542 Material Collection System, the boot is listed as a required item. I know, this is the X500/700 lawn tractor section but the 7-Iron discharge openings are the same for the 1023E/1026R with the 7-Iron deck, use this link to check for yourself: http://manuals.deere.com/cceomview/OMM165250_E1/Output/Index.html?tM=

Joe, did the discharge size end up being 7". I too am going to use the John Deere Hydraulic Dump MCS on my 1026R. I also need to get a deck boot and was hoping the one from Deere would work.

Thanks,

Chris

I am new to the forum and stumbled across this post with the same issue. I ended up going to john deere and buying the deck boot (LP23082) for my 60D Auto-connect deck hoping it would work for my Dr leaf vac and it worked great in case anyone else is still curious. If anyone has more questions about it or wants some more pics give me a holler.

How do you like the DR? Is it PTO driven?

I don't see it listed on their site any longer. Was it discontinued?

Hey Joe - Did the JD "Mower Boot 60-in. 7-Iron mower deck. LP23082 $84.00" work for the 60D MMM deck? Any idea what size the discharge is? I bought a JD MCS (3 bag style) with Power Pack (5-HP Honda) and I believe it's an 8" discharge, but could be a 7", need to measure it.

Please let us know.

Thanks!
Interesting... Can't find the LP23082 "boot" on JD Parts, but it exists on rungreen.com. I'm assuming that it is rungreen's own part number, but having trouble confirming this part on JD Parts.

I just installed a hydraulic lift MCS on my 1025R along with retrofitting it to my quick hitch. I had to cut the gusset out between the top link mount on the MCS frame to allow clearance for the top hook of the quick hitch. I used the original lower pin that was used by the MCS. I turned the ends down to fit the quick hitch bushings, drilled holes through the bushings and pin and attached with roll pins. I drill holes in the pin behind 7/8" flat washers to use to hold the pin centered. The JD LP23082 boot fits the 60" mmm iron deck perfectly but it has an 8" opening. The power unit on the MCS has a 7" inlet. I am planning on using an 8" - 7" duct reducer and use 7" hose. Haven't gotten that done yet.

Cool! I almost bought a hydraulic MCS... I ended up going with the 3 bag JD MCS. Made some choice modifications to the LP23082 Brinly-Hardy / JD Deck Boot and it's working well.

Looks great! I am still working on connecting the boot to the blower unit.
