Has anyone else had a problem getting a mulching kit. I ordered a mulching kit with my new 1025R and the 54D MMM in June.

I'm told it's on back order, no idea how long.

Come on, it's almost October!!! It's dandy to mulch up leaves.

Can't comment on the back order, but it does seem oddly long to wait.

My son in law has a JD zero turn, I think Z950 ? It has mulch on demand. It mows really pretty, and I thought maybe I should have a mulcher. Turns out, for 60d deck it's not "on demand" meaning you put the mulch kit on, and there's no switching on / off.

I try to mow when it's dry, and not too long. But stuff happens - sometimes I mow wet, long, leaves etc, and I think (at least for me) trying to mulch during these times would be a problem.

So I never bought the kit. Sometimes I wind up raking a bit, but I'm ok with that

Earlier this year when I was wanting to get a mulch kit for my 60" deck, my dealer did not have one & did not know when they could get one. No other dealers in the area had them either. I did an internet search of the part number & found dealer that had them in stock. I had it in 4 days.

I have mulchers on both of my mowers and wouldn't have one without it. I never rake fall leaves. Mulcher will eat them up.

I would call or stop by the dealer and say, I need an answer, make a call. All to often a counterman takes the easy way out and uses the word back order. i tell them I need to no why so I can get a solution.

The problem with out of stock stuff is not so much the manufacturing but the shipping. There is a shortage of truck drivers before the pandemic and worse now after, as many retired and not many to take their place.
