I am in need of some attachment that i can use to mow a ditch in front of my house. Both sides of the ditch are steep and i tried tieing my push mower to my 1026r to aid in the mowing process. That worked, but i had to keep tieing and changing the connection point. I was trying to find a way to connect a 21” mower to tractor. Im not a metal worker so this is going to be a challenge, so any ideas would be helpful.

Sounds like you want a sickle mower.

I am not sure you can put a sickle mower on a 1 series, definitely not this one as it weighs 800lbs and your 3 pt point is only good for 684lbs IIRC. I would definitely try and find a used one as the price on this one from Northern is pretty steep. Some times I see some well used ones on craigslist but they are so old, I am not sure its something you can easily mount up on a modern tractor.

Good luck with your search. :greentractorride:

That looks great, just needs to be green!
There, how's that?

Seriously, that's an Italian Sickle Bar mower......It's Ferrari Red.......I would leave it just like it is as that is a beautiful piece of equipment. I plan to get one for my tractor at some point in the near future.

This is the safest way to handle mowing roadsides, ponds, etc.

You need the RED JD high-performance key to use with that sickle bar

So far the best thing I've seen on the market is the sickle bar mower that Ventrac has for their tractor. You have to have a Ventrac or Steiner tractor to use it though.
