Doesn't look like the bolt was ever installed and tightened. Most likely left by a factory worker, or the dealer tech. This happens more than you think. I've found hardware on equipment in crevasses while performing PDI's.

I was thinking this but at 35 hrs you would think it would have worked its way out already but who knows. I did have alot of accessories installed. Hope this is true and nothing else falls off! Lol.
Not necessarily. :unsure: Depends on where it was living.

Looks like the same bolt I recently found loose on my new 2025R.
Under the engine on the 2025R there is a shield? for the front of the oil pan. The shield has two bolts on the front. They are located just in front of the FEL mast.
The one on the left of my tractor was loose. It has a nut on the inside of the frame.
I don't know if the 2038 has that shield but maybe look there. I have a post with pictures (sorry, I don't know how to do links on this forum)
