Here's a few photos of our "new" 1956 Ferguson F-40. You don't see too many beige Fergusons because they were only produced in 1956 and 1957. The F-40 was offered as a utility (this tractor), Tricycle (single or dual front tires) and a Hi-Crop models. This is the same tractor as the Massey Harris 50 with different sheet metal. Massey Ferguson didn't merge the Ferguson and Massey Harris lines until 1958 as I recall.
I also posted a few photos of our "new" 1980 Deere 2440 in the Utility Tractor forum

Thanks. No, this was restored by a very talented young man near Pittsburgh.

Since retirement, I have no time or interest in restoring tractors. Instead, I've found it far more economical to buy tractors that have been properly restored by someone else. I learned the hard way with old cars that you can almost never recover your total investment. The satisfaction has to come from the fulfillment of performing the restoration itself. For me, I'd rather buy a restored tractor and enjoy it immediately. I strongly prefer to spend my free time doing other activities.
