New 2320

Hi All
I just traded in my 2305 for a 2320. what a great upgrade. I have a couple of issues. First I noticed the rear wheels are on backwards, they seem to stick way out of the fenders. Second, when I go in reverse and then let off the pedal it stops abruptly and leaves skid marks on the grass. It is quite uncomfortable getting jerked back like that. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

If the tire values are inboard, then the tires have been swapped to the wide position. This is good as it greatly increases stability but it does make it a PITA to check the air. As for the hydro, try to come off the pedal more slowly, soon it will become a reflex and you won't even think about it. Congratulations on the new tractor, enjoy.

Does yours do the same thing? My 2305 never did this, it is really touchy.

Hydraulic color coding

I just noticed the colors are different on my 2320 compared to my former 2305. Instead of green and silver, the 2320 has blue and red.

I have a 2520 not a 2320, but I do remember it being a little touchy when I got it. It has become such a natural extension that I don't think about it anymore, just like driving a car, I don't think about it, but recently watching my son learn to drive it takes a while to learn how to smoothly accelerate and brake. Give it time and work on being gentle with the pedal.

Looking at your avatar, do have a loader and rear ballast? I have a loader and at least 800 lbs on the back at all times, this doubles the weight of the tractor which no doubt smooths out the hydro transmission too.

No, she is barebones for now. I have a 54 Plow and front hitch for the winter.

Perhaps by greasing the peddles you can ease off them somewhat more easily. I never have had to use the brakes on my 855 but on rare occasions, it's hydraulics are still as tight as a bulls ass at flytime...

Sorry but when I use edit I always get extra words in my sentences, when I try to take them out it changes everything around.

Our 2320 does the same thing in reverse and when stopping going forward. It's like why did they put breaks on the tractor.
But as BethesdaEC stated it won't once you become accustom to the tractor.

JD recently changed the color schemes for some unknown reason. Maybe the blue and red covers are $.02 cheaper...who knows.

That is such a strange deal. The FEL hose colors are black, red, blue and yellow. Even back to 2008!
Why in the heck did they do the green and silver tractor connections??:unknown: Inquiring minds want to know.

Congrats on your new 2320, they are a nice machine. My 2320 was a 2007 and it had green and silver hyd. connections...:unknown:
As for the pedals, I agree with the others, just give it time.:thumbup1gif:

My loader caps are different but my quick attach front blade caps are the same as the tractor
I have put on my 54 Blade. The new color scheme is complete chaos. Not any color is the same. It took me a few tries but I got it right. Why did they change it? So many people are going to be confused and mad! I sure was!. As far as the abrupt reverse goes, I think I will keep it in low range. It is much smoother, also the pedal is softer. I noticed this on my 2305 also. So far I am completely impressed with the 2320, the added clearance is much needed. I got stuck in the snow many times last winter. Also it is better for working around stumps and rocks. Now to start collecting more attachments!

PS As I was assembling the new plow hitch assembly, there were instructions to install wheel stops, what are those for? I couldnt see why they were needed so I didnt put them on. Anyone know what they are for?

Big surprse!

I put my rear tires on the "Correct" way, valve stems on the outside and was in for a dissapointing surprise. The right tire now rubs on the hydraulic lines! It never ends!

Maybe they make wheel spacers for it...

That is actually the wrong way. The values go on the inside, I know it is crazy but that is really the way the manual recommends doing it.

Per the 200CX manual:

Selecting Rear Tread Width

CAUTION: To help prevent bodily injury or death from tractor/loader roll-over, use the widest rear tread setting possible. (See ADDING BALLAST TO REAR WHEELS and ADDING BALLAST TO 3-POINT HITCH in this section.) Use particular care when operating on inclines and/or rough terrain.
