Been looking around the forum this is a great site. Looking to get a new to me lawn tractor pretty soon. I have a 2012 Snapper that serves it purpose but it is hard to steer. Im looking at getting a X580 or a X590. I have 1 acre and have a Cyclone Rake I use some on fall clean up. I also mow for a relative and my mower is always a back up to theirs if it tears up.

I notice that there is alot of 580 and 590 for sale on those machine finder sites but none in my area to speak of. I like the idea of new with the full warranty but used would save money on used and some of those still has warranty left. My brain is scrambled LOL. I called about a 2009 X540 311 hrs that was on Craiglist he wanted 3750.00 one owner on a small yard. The next day the ad was gone. So I dont know if he sold it or his ad ran out . Got his number wrote down. You just dont see many bigger JD lawn tractors advertised on CL. Any way glad to be here and learn more.

Yea I, just mow no snow here , Ive used a ZTR before but I like the tractor style mower better. Also since I have the Cyclone Rake I think it goes better with a tractor. My aunt had a small Z Snapper and she has a Cyclone Rake that I use year around on her yard , just seems to tow better. Aunt now has a new Snapper tractor lawn mower.
