I have a JD LT155 Lawn Tractor and I had to replace the fuel pump since it was a mechanical one and the diaphragm was gone in it. After I had changed it the tractor would not start unless I poured a little gas into the carb and then it would start and stay running for however long I needed it to run. I replaced the fuel filter thinking that it may be that, but still doing the same thing. Anyone have any ideas what could be the issue? I don't want to nickel and dime it if it something simple. Thanks any help would be great.

I would look next at the fuel lines.See if their moist anywhere that they may be drawing air,or fitting not tight.Seems to be losing prime after sitting awhile.

Blocked jets?
Happens all the time on the bikes due to ethanol fuel deposits that occur after a bit of sitting.
