New Inverted snow blower for my 3039R

Just arrived last week, MK Martin 68" Inverted blower, I ordered back in March, was supposed to have hydraulic chute rotator, they sent electric, have the correct one coming from the distributor, been looking at how these work on videos and they seem to do the job well even driving through the snow, have back and neck issues so a standard one wasn't an option for me, and front blower was out of the question since I like using a front plow and bucket during the winter, anyone else own one of these inverted blowers? I also would like to know if just using front chains would hurt the machine? I have loaded rears but would need to add spacers in order for rear chains, but would like to have some additional traction for getting up my steep driveway if it gets slippery, anyone using front chains only?

I ended up grooving all four tires, going to hold off on ordering any chains, just put the plow on this morning so hopefully will be gtg for this winter.

Very nice setup.

You will find the traction should be much better with the "siping" or grooving of the tires. But even more important, control the down pressure of both the blade and the rear blower and you can dramatically impact both the traction and the tractor's steering. I wouldn't install any chains until you find you must have them.

Rarely is the best approach for my needs to "float" the plow, but rather to control the down pressure with the SCV. Try this and you will be amazed the difference it can and will make verses simply dropping both implements fully onto the pavement.

Traction is highly temperature dependent and the colder it is, the better the traction conditions. You practice controlling the down pressure and you can improve the steering and traction on both ends of the machine. After all, most times you don't need to be scraping the surface with a lot of down pressure to clean it. You just need to get the snow cleared from the surface.......

if you do end up with traction issues swapping your rears should give enough room for lower profile chains. After trying 2 link and 4 link and seeing recommendations fro euro style i tried them and would say that you should skip the others and go straight to euro. more expensive but better traction and a smooth ride. Where are you located?

appeal, but I've never understood the concept of driving through the snow first, unless you only average a few inches per snowfall.

deeper snow if you can drive through it you can blow it so for me up to about 24in its no big deal.
PJR832, I recall seeing some of your snow removal posts with snow pusher in really deep snow. Seems like the FEL blade could be set off the ground at a point(12"-18") before you lose traction and both could be used together well?

As I said, there is definitely some appeal to the inverted snow blowers.
