I'm awaiting my new John Deere, to be delivered Monday. Well, it is 44 years old but, new to me, model 1530 with a 145 loader. Judging from the wear and tear on the loader it's all lightly used. From what I was told it was owned by an engineer and he kept meticulous notes, I feel really good about this purchase.
My other green tractor (Deutz 4006) was wore out when I bought it, fifteen years ago, and it's even more wore out now. It has served me well. It always started even when well below 0.
When we moved to this place 30 years ago I let a lot of ash trees grow, they are pretty and grow reasonably fast. I'm now cutting them down for fire wood. :banghead: So, this will get a workout skidding logs and mowing.

I would think it would fall under utility section but someone else might have a better idea.

I would agree with jdmich, falls more in line with the 5 series utility tractor.
