I got my new pallet forks from EveythingAttachments.com today. I am very impressed at how well they are built. 1800 lb rating and 42" long. I'm set for doin more with my Deere. Check out the videos at E/A.com, They are very informative and I even learned something.

I like the sticker in picture 3:thumbup1gif:

Can you lock the forks from sliding side to side?

According to the video, when the forks are loaded, they won't slide. I like the fact they will not free float. That way I can dump pallets in to a dumpster at very low angles. Free shipping to the nearest terminal, plus a fair price.

Smart Upgrade

I am very happy I bumped up to some pallet forks. I can't wait to get started on all the jobs I can do with them. The bucket forks might be fine for some, but you can't beat being able to see the forks with these. Don't hesitate, get some.

back saver

Bought mine last fall when the wife decided to take down trees in our yard. Cut a dozen big old trees down, cut them into 4 foot pieces and it was a breeze to move them with the pallet forks. Took a little getting used to as the hydraulics are very touchy especially when you have a heavy load on them. Be careful, my 2320 was able to lift a couple big logs that actually lifted the back-end of the tractor up and I have fluid in my rear tires! Since we burn wood to heat our house these and the 3 pt splitter have been worth every penny spent!:thumbup1gif:

A ballast box or some other implement would help you out in that situation. :hi:

Nice looking fork set-up. Do you recall the overall weight? Do you think the 42" length is necessary? I was considering going this way- but I decided I'd have more capacity with a light duty model (under 100lbs total). I think I may throw something together like the Bxpanded forks (36" long)- trying to maximize the somewhat limited capacity of the 1-series FEL (800lbs or so). My decisions are usually heavily influenced by the high cost of buying up here.

Have you checked these out? http://www.artillian.com/

The absolute best setup for the 1 and 2 series tractors IMHO.

I checked them out and they also look like a fine product, the shipping is a killer for me (if I remember correctly it was going to be over 250$).
I did order a set of his JDQA plates, which could be shipped in a small USPS box.

I'm not quite ready to get the pallet forks yet, but I think the set at Everything Attachments would be the way to go. The price and weight is comparable and they have free shipping.

Just note, they are not "fixed" forks, here is a good description of the different types: http://www.artillian.com/PalletForkDesignComparison.htm

Are the EA forks Powder Coated? Chris's are for sure...and he is making other attachments that will work on the frame set.

One of the great features of the Artillians is they don't weigh much so you can pick up more. I bought a set and use them constantly for moving around my piles of s#%t, I mean the good stuff I save for "what if", and brush and logs etc. I can't believe the amount of extra work I have done since I bought my tractor.

Not to be picky, but KHOP's forks appear to be fixed. They can't pivot downward as they are attaached to the rail, and can't pivot upward due to the square tubing above the rail.
