Hello GreenTractorTalk!!:hi:

I was pointed this way from TBN by Gizmo, and I just wanted to say that I'm glad to be here. I have been doing quite a bit of reading here for the past few weeks and have already learned a lot. As evidenced by my signature, by the middle of this month I should have my new John Deere as the dealer told me yesterday that they had the attachments and have been invoiced for my tractor.:yahoo:

Kennyd had helped me out quite a bit over on TBN back in 2009 when I was first looking at tractors. I tried hard to convince myself to get a JD then, but ended up with a Bobcat CT225 due to the great deals that they were offering to introduce the line. It is about the size of a 2720, which is a bit larger than what I needed for my 2 1/2 acres, but it served me well with getting my landscapping done. I will be sad to see it leave, but glad to finally be going green!!

Welcome aboard Mrb94. Seems to be a friendly environment over here. Not as much information as TBN, but hey, got to start someplace and we have a good time. Even with all the picking on each other, except for me, I don't pick on anyone.

Welcome to GTT.

We are glad you could join us. We are about learning and having fun. Though some maybe taking the fun part to the extreme. :mocking: You'll love the green machine. :good2:

And as far as Giz, well.........if you know him from TBN then I guess there is no need to explain.

Thanks for the warm reception guys! Just wanted to update you by letting you know that the dealer called me this morning and my tractor will be delivered on Friday!!!

And if the packages arrive in time, I can also install my new grab hooks and worklight glare shrouds too. Before anyone asks (Gizmo...), pictures will be forthcoming in a new thread.

Great choice in tractors!:thumbup1gif: I'm kinda partial:lol: I can tell you, it's a real workhorse. I've put over 20 hours on mine since late November and only an hour of that was mowing. The rest of that was some sort of FEL work or dirt work with a box blade. What attachments do you have? Are you going to do more than mow with it?

I'm partial too! Congrats, and hopefully the weather in your area will allow you to put your new 1026R right to work! :thumbup1gif:

I was originally going to get a mower, front loader and box blade, and then add a front blade and pallet forks later. But, and I swear the devil made me do it :wasntme:, I told the dealer to go ahead and add the front blade and pallet forks to the deal due to the 0% for 48 months financing.
I'm going to have to hide them from the CFO of the house for awhile, if you know what I mean. :hide::nunu:

Glad to hear that this tractor is a workhorse as I intend to push it. It will be replacing these 2 tractors. I need to sell the Craftsman, and the dealer is taking my Bobcat in trade. This morning the dealer sent me a picture of my tractor showing off - they were impressed that it lifted this loader, but found out quickly not to lift too high since no ballast was on the back!
