The 3pt and pto are easy to do if your mechanically inclined.I put the Ruegg 3pt on my x595.

I really liked my x495 and would still have it if had small acreage as I did when it was in my herd. Mine had over 2400 hours and still ran great/started easily like all the Yanmar 3 cylinder diesels seem to do. I had the limited Cat-1 three point because that is what the original owner had used (it came from a local cemetery...) so I bought a load lifter with pallet forks from AZ Welding, along with a front frame squeezer to allow the front attachments from my 322 to fit it also.

I did some refurb of the seat suspension, bought tires and new tail lights, but mechanically it did not need anything else. I believe the cemetery had recently had the all wheel steering serviced at the dealer as it was perfect and looked like it had a few new parts. Forgot to mention -- clean all the air screens and filters regularly, and blow out the radiator fins with air if you mow in dirty conditions. These tractors will not overheat with a clean air flow, but with enough blockage they will heat up. Clean the oil cooler also -- here is the operator manual section that shows how:

I have all the manuals if you need something specific. The cost of the CD TM2024 is well worth it in my opinion...

Def will look into the Ruegg aftermarket 3-point. Question... Can a 7-iron 62 be retro fit to this tractor? Were the only options the 54C amd 62C? It has a very clean 54C on it now, but would like to upgrade.

Also looking for a loader for it. Found 2 45s, both over 1000 miles away! Anyone have one of those little bucks loaders?

Nice looking tractor!! Very clean, just as you described it earlier....

I had the 62 inch deck on mine, plus it was an all wheel steer model -- so the uncut center of a tight turn was only about 6 or 8 inches. The 62 deck really ate up the mowing chores, and mine had the mulch kit fitted so there was no stopping to empty bags or anything. Plenty of power from the 24 HP diesel even for the tall wet grass here in the Pacific Northwest.

Since mine was the AWS and the loaders are not allowed on those I was never in the market for a loader for it. But I sure used the load lifter and pallet forks a lot to move items around for landscaping and for swapping out attachments on my other tractors.

Maybe another member here can speak to adapting a 7-iron deck -- is the one you are contemplating from a SCUT?

I replaced worn parts on my deck (remember it had a couple of thousand+ hours mowing the cemetery properties...) and I found that the isolating bushings on the deck gear box are very costly from Deere When I replaced the brackets and bolts I found a second source for the steel lined bushings. If you end up needing any I have extras -- $25 for 4 including postage which is about a third of the Deere price once shipping is factored in.

If you get after the bushings when they first show signs of wear, you won't have to replace any brackets...

Very nice looking x495, plus real low hours. Nice find!!! :good2:

I wanted to try a diesel when I was looking for something last summer (2016). But the diesels were too much of a premium :gizmo: for the same in gas. I was hoping to find one for $500-$600 more than gas, but everything I found was 2-3 times that more for a diesel with low hours.

I ended up with a 500 hour x485, AWS, 62C deck.
