Looks great Dave. I hope it is everything you have hoped it would be so far. We mowed the lawn again here today with the 185 and the bagger, any chance of you being able to do that there? I know I am not mowing with the 1026R until spring to keep the deck new, perhaps that's the case with you? Well at any rate, I hope you are enjoying you new machine :good2:

ColonyPark,

Thanks, and yes... same thing here. I got her home checked everything out including running the mower for a couple minutes and put her away until spring. She's got a whopping .4 of an hour on her. I can still go out in the garage and admire her until spring... then she's got to get to work. :nunu:

It is going to kill ya to have that sittin' there all winter. When it finally gets to you, make sure you post the pics where you are driving around in the snow.

jfroi,

I've got it filled up with gas and stabilizer, and put away for the winter. It only has .4 of an hour on it. Do you think it's OK to let it sit over the winter with the brake in oil in it, or should I find something to do with it and run it the 8 hours to change the oil?

PS: Did it come with the "Suicide Knob"?
Thanks Pete.

Nope, when I was looking at the tractors on the showroom floor before buying there was a spinner knob on one of the tractors. He told me they work nice... I said maybe I'll get one.

When I was walking out the door after picking my tractor up, he handed me one, and said "Thanks". :D

I should try one.

VP

Hey guys, I think they are great, have had them on two different machines now.

In particular, if you ever have any implement/device that you are trailering the spinner gives incredible control over backing up as it provides much quicker directional input when responding to trailer wander!

With that said....I'll never not have one even if I thought I'd never pull a trailer again.

Dave,
It's a great mowing machine. Has a tight turning radius, plenty of power to turn the blades and leaves a great cut. It has served me well now the last few years.
