Hi,

Today after some heavier use of my 3038E I found a thin oil film on top of the Engine, where the tube for crank case ventilation is attached.

I think it is just sweating out and nothing to worry.

Anyone else noticed such?

Best regards

All engines (especially diesels)will expel some oil vapors from blow by out the crankcase vent tube. It will be a little worse before the engine breaks in, but the oily gases will always be there. The seal around where the vent attaches never seem to be a great seal, and oil that accumulates in the tube weeps out a little. My x748 Yanmar is like that.
