All engines (especially diesels)will expel some oil vapors from blow by out the crankcase vent tube. It will be a little worse before the engine breaks in, but the oily gases will always be there. The seal around where the vent attaches never seem to be a great seal, and oil that accumulates in the tube weeps out a little. My x748 Yanmar is like that.Hi,
Today after some heavier use of my 3038E I found a thin oil film on top of the Engine, where the tube for crank case ventilation is attached.
I think it is just sweating out and nothing to worry.
Anyone else noticed such?
