I've got about 15 Maple trees that are a real pain about this time of year. Of course, it's really nice in the summer. I've worn out two walk behind leaf vacuums, so now I use one of the Cyclone rakes with my Scag. Works great.

I handle a bunch of maple and oak leaves and also pine needles. I block off the discharge chute, make one pass around grinding them into little pieces and then vac 'em up with a PowerFlow bagger. You get 10 times more leaves in one load and a bit more seat time.:good2:

I was honestly amazed by how the mulching kit makes leaves disappear. But I didn't get it until after I'd picked up most of the leaves with the power flow. My maples are still hanging on. Most are silver maple that don't get so big, but I've got a couple sugar maples and tulip poplar
