They just don’t make things like that anymore, everything is made to use throw away and buy new. However when building shelves the other day I realized my black and decker 14.4v drill, circular saw, saws all, and flash light combo are nearly 30 years old. I just keep getting new batteries when the old stop charging.
Speaking of old drills, I have an old 1/2" heavy duty reversible drill. It's a Shop Mate model 520TI (not sure of the letter after the T), made by McGraw-Edison. I don't know the year of manufacture. I haven't used it for quite a few years, but it still works.
