Part fell off underneath of 1025R

Hi Friends,

I noticed a part fell off the bottom of my 1025R. I can't locate where it goes. This may be purely coincidentally but my mower will now disengage if I don't keep pulling up on the safety knob (that I normally have to pull up on if mowing in reverse). The picture is attached. Any ideas/suggestions? The part looks slightly bent.

Thanks! Plumbing fixture Brass Metal

It looks like the linkage off of the differential lock.

Thanks for the diagram. Excuse my ignorance-- what would this impact? (What symptoms should I be seeing)?
Well the brake would no longer be able to lock the differential nor would the differential lock work. This could be a problem as the diff lock is engaged during the first bit of brake pedal travel to insure both rear wheels are getting brakes. You see there's only one brake for the entire tractor, not one per wheel like your car. So if one wheel slides, you have zero brakes. So yeah, it's kind of important.

Are you under warranty?

Hang on a second. I believe the brake linkage is independent from the diff lock linkage after the pedal. In other words, the brake pedal operates the brakes and the diff lock via a common rod, but they are two separate systems.

Diff lock linkage is, if I remember right, left side of the tractor. Brake linkage is on the opposite side. Both are adjustable independently.
