KennyD: is there an adapter splitting off the power beyond so two outlets and inlets can be used there. Might want to run my valve add a cylinder to my thumb. I know I could possibly t into the lines under tractor but that's a bear...not sure I want to cut the lines.

In general, you cannot Tee any limes except low pressure return to tank lines in a open center system. If you have two inlets/outlets, or tee the PB lines, fluid will "take the path of least resistance" and that would be the path that you are not commanding any work from.


Having said that, I'm not sure I'm understanding what you are thinking of doing?

Kenny: Tks for the reponse...You finally got through to me on the manual valve and everything is good there. My question and TTWT also mentioned, there is a way to tie into the PB and R line going to that valve and have outlets that go to backhoe. I wondered if I could have a T inserted in those lines with connectors going to the backhoe....personally I don't see why I couldn't but you're the expert. Then I can use one of the outlets to power my thumb. Here is a diagram of my unit. Tks Chuck

You can connect the backhoe in series.

PB P to valve in
Valve out to backhoe in
Backhoe out to PB R

Ya you wouldn't use a tee. The flow goes through the open center of the valve when no valve is operating. Everything is in series with open center valve. Flow is continuous through this circuit until you operate one of these valves to do some work with the fluid. Italics are optional components, including how I think you want to hook up both tim's valve kit and the backhoe.

Pump --> flow divider -- > relief valve --> Loader SCV --> OEM 3rd function --> OEM indep mower lift --> PB hose --> Backhoe --> Tim's valve --> PB return port --> Three point lift --> tank

I think you meant open center system, not closed center system. You CAN tee the pressure line of a closed center system, to add a mid valve for a loader. That's how JD recommends, and my closed center system, JD 2030 mid loader valve is plumbed

This sounds really interesting !
I would think there must be a way but my puzzler is shot for the day.

MM, you would plumb the two valve's in series, no Tee's.

So the PB of you new valve would go to the IN of the backhoe, the OUT of the backhoe goes to the rockshaft.

Kenny: Appreciate your good advise....had time so I took another photo of the valve....as you can see going to the valve is the P line...it has green and on the left is the return line R but my valve has another line that is the Tank valve in the front...this is way you suggest. My question specifically is I have another P port on my valve...if I came off it with a another line with coupler to fit the R on my backhoe....would then T off the R line "there is no more ports on valve for this or would the back hoe line T off the Tank line I added for this valve to make both units work. I'm trying to be specific to my current set up so I fully understand.

What you're trying to accomplish as I understand it, is easily accomplished by putting the valves that can support the backpressure on the R line in series. i.e. Tractor P-out -> V1 -P-in -> V1 R-out -> V2 P-in ->V2 R-out ->BH P-In -> BH R-Out -> Tractor R-in. V1 = 1st valve block manifold; V2 = 2nd valve block manifold; BH = Backhoe

KennyD: Thank you so much...all I had to do was disconnect my line on power beyond...same connectors and hook the backhoe to them....everything is good...no other parts needed....thank you for helping me understand the hydraulics....

I feel like I didn't do anything, LOL.. I've been swamped this past week so I haven't been able to dedicate the usual time to the forum.
