Hi just bought a X500 With Power Flow Bagger and am looking for ideas to reinforce plastic shell in area next to ground. I have an old JD240 with bagger and even though this area was metal, this area took ground abuse and developed a hole. Thanks for any suggestions

HHHHmmm, this could be a challenge. You need to reinforce it because of the occasional dragging on the ground? You mean like a skid plate?

Oh, and welcome to GTT. :good2:

Skid Plate for Power Flow Bagger

Yes, that is exactly what I am considering but not sure of good attachment ideas. There is a raised joint in the middle of the area for taking apart the bagger side cover to access belt. I feel this particular area will erode the fastest. Thanks for your reply and welcome to the forum of JD.

RP, for this particular excersize I highly recommend getting us some photos so everyone can see exactly what you are talking about. There are some very creative minds on this forum and a little visual would go a long way on this one. Can you help us out?

Edit: Taking a wild shot that you're talking about the blower housing. I am not sure the one you have but is it one of these?

Also, what if instead of reinforcing the housing directly you just add an aditional rub guard or wear strip that would take the obuse and would be replaceable? Maybe attached to some framework. Just noodling.
