Guys,
After mowing today, I used the hose attachment to clean the deck. Yes I know that is not the best idea.
Anyway, when running the deck, it started to partially disengage the PTO. You could tell, as the engine speed would increase and the amount being thrown by the deck decreasing, then 20 seconds later, it would fully engage, throwing additional water and grass. This did this multiple times.
I have no way to test this except to run it. When not under load it did not seem to do it.
The engine was not overheating. That is the only sensor that I know this 1025R has. Any ideas?

Sounds like your PTO switch wasn’t making up. The PTO valve is an electrically operated hydraulic Alec. It’s either on or off. The other thing I would look at is the connector and associated wiring to make sure there isn’t any faults there. A bad connection could cause the same issue. It’s just highly unlikely the solenoid valve is failing in this mode.

You could also potentially be low on hydraulic fluid and an air bubble could momentarily cause a loss of pressure in the clutch pack. If it’s a new tractor, I’d check the hydraulic fluid level as new implements such as a loader eats up some of the fluid reserves.

I think it would do it under heavy load and just spinning the deck if it were electrical. Wiggled the switch, but did not rengage. Will make the other checks.

So you’re saying it’s only slipping under heavy load? Spraying water in/under the deck shouldn’t be much of a load.

Creating a puddle of sorts does create a good load. Tractor is 2013.

Belt slipping is a great thought.

How is the mower doing this morning after having the past day to dry out?
Deck fairly clean. It also seems fine. Will need to wait until I cut again.

Well cut the grass. Must have been the way I had it parked while flushing the deck. All was fine with the PTO. Deck belt was getting lubed by water making it slip last time.
