I have a X748 with a 62" Edge deck w/mulch kit on it. Cuts great and am happy with the deck. I also have an old 54" Edge deck, stripped down, that I use for rough cutting (not elegant but it works!).
I have a buyer for the X748 who doesn't want the 62" and I am replacing it with a X758.

I could keep the 62" or trade it in and get a 60" with the new purchase. Does anyone have thoughts on the 60 with mulch vs 62 with mulch....the 60 is that much more durable or better cutting or?

Thanks in advance for any thoughts or comments.

My question would be why get rid of the x748.I doubt the dealer will give you much for the 62" but I would ask before shipping off the x748. The 60" decks I've heard so so on the performance but you have to take it with a grain of salt due to you don't know what grass type how high they're cutting, how wet the grass was.

Do you know that the 62" deck from the x748 fits on the x758? I know the 7-Iron 62D deck does not fit without issues on the x758 (doesn't raise all the way).

The 60HC deck for the x758 is a pretty stout deck. Basically a 7-Iron deck but made with 9ga metal. Same thick rod protecting the edges, etc. I thought I heard that this was an improvement over the older 62" deck but I cannot say for sure.
