The HF top hook needed to be ground out.
The top hook bolts needed to be replaced with pins, interference with ballast box uprights.
Unless dead on with alignment when attaching, the top hook mounting frame on the HF QH would contact the ballast box uprights, either one side or the other, just a PITA. Self aligning now.

I did the opposite. I ground down the edges of the top hook so it would slide nicely into everything. I do like your mod though.

On mine the hook mounting frame would contact the ballast box uprights and not let the hook go in far enough unless you were align dead on.
