Quick Hitch Clearance

677 Views 13 Replies 6 Participants Last post by  Jeff is outside
Can anyone please tell me the the dimension from the center of bushing to the back of the hook, at the top link and bottom links (see marked-up photo below)? I'm looking to make the Universal Implement Frame that I am developing quick-hitch compatible.

They all are slightly different so if you could, please state which brand you measured also.

Thank you very much!

Here are a ASAE Category 1 Standard S278.6 standards

@Kennyd Ah, thank you Kenny! This is great info. However, I don't see that it has the dimensions I'm after; I'm looking for the clearance from the bushing to the back of the quick hitch hooks, so that what I'm making doesn't interfere with hookup.
I'll try pull the dimension off my iMatch you are looking for tonight.... otherwise try looking at the local harbor freight or fleet / farm store!

Excellent, that one gives 2" clearance for the bottom hook, thanks (I did do some googling and searched here as well and hadn't found much, also it appears they are slightly different from manufacturer to manufacturer).
I've got a Speeco like the orange one in the photo you marked, I can measure it tonight for you.

For the SpeeCo keep in mind this is a “category one ready” quick hitch. No bushings are required.
