Rotary Hammer.

If you drill concrete, it is great.

That would drive ground rods using hammer action only.

Think it'll blow away my current hammer drills for driving grounding rods?

Well I probably call it the wrong thing but it looks like it has the selector for hammer only, hammer+drill, drill only.
I added an SDS to drill adapter on mine and use it when my cordless drills don't have enough power.

It’s a different tool category. The ones you pictured are not made for driving rods or breaking concrete. They are for drilling holes only.

It’s like a small jackhammer. Grab it

Does anyone else find the SDS tools confusing? I know my big hammer is SDS-Max but can never remember if my smaller drill is SDS or SDS-Plus.
Got it. $75. Hope it does the trick with ground rods. It's a bit smaller than I expected.
Headed home.

If it works that's exactly what you need for your ground rods, just go buy the rod adaptor with the correct bit for the tool. No more swinging that detesticalizing sledge hammer! I see one bit in the kit so bring that in with you so you get the correct adaptor that fits the rotary demo hammer..

SDS is the particular type of bit for a rotary demo hammer. Not all are SDS.. Mine are spline. That one looks like SDS but hard to really see.

Whole different class of tool....the hilti (cadillac of rotary hammers) I pictured in you ground rod thread cost me about 1.5k 10+ years ago...I'm sure they are cheaper these days but still a whole different level.....next step after this level are the electric jackhammer/breakers

Yup. Hilti electric breaker hits at 60# where others top out at 50. We have 2 of them and love em.

Its most likely an SDS-plus unless your dill was made before the late 1970s.

Yes, no comparison, different mechanisms. The DEWALT uses a floating piston in a long cylinder. The motor is attached to another piston that slaps the floating piston back and forth to act as the hammer. Much more impact energy compared to the standard vibrating hammer drill mechanisms.
