Hello all,
I am looking for a pair of front R4 tires for my 4200, 23x8.5x12. I'd prefer a used pair 50% or so left figuring the wear would make them easier on my lawn than a new pair. I'm in Norwalk, Ct and would gladly pay shipping. Not much in stuff like this out here. Thanks for any help.

R4s aren't terribly hard on the lawn as long as it's not wet or really damp. Never make sharp turns or spin/lock up a wheel and you'll be fine. I've have R4s on my yard for years with very minimal damage.

Jason,
Thanks for your very quick response and information. The R4's on my front now are almost smooth (one is worse than the other) and I was afraid new ones might tear things up. I never use 4wd on the lawn but I do like the little extra traction when approaching a pile of soil or whatever with the loader. Guess I'll just go with a new set and try and see what brands are recommended.

Thanks again, Bill

This is the best place I've found. Actually the best price for the Galaxy tires on my tractor
I had them shipped to the UPS store in Ogdensburg NY to save me the brokerage fees etc into Canada
