Just got these from JD dealer, pt number 5WS346765 now wouldn’t you think that they would have made them to fit better than this??

That certainly is a very poor fitment, especially given the thickness of the steel. I wonder why JD Parts lists two different part numbers. One is listed as a semi-finished weldment.

What is the purpose of the end plate?
Reduces end spill when dragging material. Same principle as a snow pusher.

Looks like it’s made for a smaller blade. Possibly a 48”. Notice how they don’t sit as high as the blade.

It says inside but it fits tighter on the outside??

I just don't see how those flat sides are supposed to match up to a curved blade. Note the Woods end plates shown below, they have flat sides to match the flat sections of the blade.

Frontier does have a RB5048L but they do not show any end plates available for it.
