hey guys. when those of you that did it yourself set up working lights, did you use the setup thats already there behind the seat?

Nope. I wanted independent control over my lights. The wiring under the seat uses the headlight switch. I can get a LOT more detailed if you want.

yep. thats what im looking for. im not really that experienced with wiring so i was just gonna plug them in to the existing wiring.

the kit i bought came with a switch and relay and 15 amp fuse in the wiring itself. so if you can walk me through the process i can set it up as an independent switch.

i think what im gonna do for now is take the easy route for mounting and wiring these two forward facing lights. one weekend when my dad is up here, ill put one rear facing and wire it independently.

i like ur setup though, kenny. i wish i had the skills to go that route.

so i finally got enough time without my little "helpers" to get one light wired and mounted. it works well. now lets see how long it takes to do the next one.
