I know this has been discussed multiple times but I am trying to pull battery on my 1025R. Took the 4 nuts off the right hand side head light (as I had seen in earlier post) but, for the life of me I cannot figure out how to acutally remove the headlight. Seems the outside set of bolts (look to be plastic) are inside of a set of clips that I cannot figure how to release.
I have read this is simple so I am guessing I am doing something wrong

I found a discussion about this in the archives...
"I think it is more than two screws to remove the grille assembly, but still simple enough. Don't remove the headlights---it is a Pandora's box once you start. There are springs behind them and some clips that like to strip/break. Don't ask me how I know....."

Sully did a real nice post on battery removal on a 1025. you grab the two inner studs, the ones away from the fender and turn them out of the plastic after the nuts are removed. I didn’t take the nuts off on the clips that are on the fender side of the light. The light is than removed. The clips slide out of the fender side.
