I'm rebuilding the brake valve on my 1020 and I have to remove a cup plug in the valve body. Any thoughts as to how to do this without leaving shavings in the valve body?
Thanks

Heavy grease on your drill bit to catch and hold the chips.
There may be better ideas :unknown:

I use a small tapered punch. Tap the punch into the plug off to one side. If the punch punctures a hole through the plug, screw a screw into it to pull it out. If the plug moves instead, they usually twist in the bore enough that you can grab the edge with small vise grips to pull it out.

Ditto I viewed sharp punch being utilized to remove plug in brake valve back when I was employed a JD
