Replacing a Refrigerator in a RV-Lots of pictures!

1843 Views 8 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  Aaron
My neighbor and best friend Howard decided to replace the refrigerator in his RV last fall, the unit that was in the coach had recalls on it for catching fire so he wanted to just replace it with a regular residential style unit rather than go the AC/LG route. He gained a larger fridge in the process and a lot of peace of mind since most of the Norcold RV unit's available today have been having numerous safety recalls.

This first involved taking the old unit out of the cabinet, then moving the sofa (it was bolted down) and taking the large window out.

OK, then we had to cut the opening in the cabinet larger and move the central vac inlet and the C02 monitor.

So now you are getting bored...what the HE!! does this have to do with tractors? Well, just how do you think we got the old fridge out of that window?

Then, we had to load the new fridge into the RV through the window...

Next I had to make a bracket/clamp to hold the fridge in place, it clips over the rear and is bolted to the floor.

That's all the pictures I have from my phone, all the rest where taken with Howard's Nikon DSLR camera.

Hope you enjoyed a "different" use of a tractor:laugh:

Sweet :good2:. Loaders are very versatile tools.
