I don't. That's how they get rid of the items you won't choose. Especially produce and shorter shelf dates.

Isn’t there a white work truck thread you can participate instead of drooling over the Fords?
Kbar, et al:

I have been going through health hell all winter long. Cancer, heart attack, rib removed, fibromyalgia, back surgery, and next week torn rotator cuff repair. All this sucks and I suffered some serious depression to the point where my wife literally changed the lock combination on my gun vault.

But, I'm moving ahead and the results look good. The cancer is stopped and all I need are semi annual treatments. Heart is better than ever and everything else getting better thanks to my primary care doc is the best, and I get everything else taken care of at the Lahey Clinic / Brigham and womens hospital.

After I learned about my cancer behaving I was beynd happy and my wife decided I need to do something for myself. She suggested I buy a new, or new truck or car for myself, and after a long search I found a beautiful 2021 FORD Explorer ST with less than 20,000 miles on it.

I was blown away by the truck. It was owned by a 56 year old woman who drove it from Boston to the white mountains every weekend, then parked it in a down town garage until the next weekend. She has more money than god, and maybe it was god that brought me to this truck

The truck has literally EVERYTHING. Power seats that are leather, heated, cooled and will massage you as you drive if you want. Full moon roof, every bit of Ford technology, and it seats six (6) with plenty of head and leg room in leather bucket seats.

I put nerf bars on the left right and rear, and I also tuned the truck using the SCT hardware and application. The truck was fast when I bought it, but the tune brought the horse power from 400HP to 510HP, and the torque from 400 - 486 ftlbs. Track times are 0-60mph in 4.2 seconds, and 1/4 mile times have been slightly above or below 12 seconds, 119mph. Geez I love this truck. I don't have the time to list everything, but a quick trip to the FORD site will fill in the gaps.

BTW I ain’t getting no 22-25 on my Super duty. More like 15. Can’t blame a guy for wanting more mpg in a smaller package. The newer F150’s are nice trucks and a lot more comfortable than a SD. Plus that 10 speed
Kbar,
I forgot to add this;

3.0L twin turbo, RWD 10 speed transmission. This thing eats Dodge products for lunch, and that includes Hellcats and all of the hemi powered crap below the Hellcat.

Beautiful vehicle, what a find.
So sorry to hear of your struggles but encouraged to hear of your strong constitution.
Best of luck for your future.

I really don’t consider the XLT to be a work truck trim. This is the trim that My last to trucks have been. My dad and brother both have xlt s too.

My current truck is a F359 xlt premium, Tremor. It has navigation, the full camera package and the pto trailer back up. And the power folding mirrors, and full center console. I could do without the cameras , navigation and trailer back up BS. As I seldom use any of those. Now that I have the front locker I wouldn’t want to be without it. The Tremor does much better on the forest roads than my 2016 FX4 did.

At work they buy very basic XL trucks. Most of those don’t have power windows or seats. Those are work trucks.

Im actually thinking of going with a XL with the sxt package with my next truck. One of my coworkers bought one of those. I rode in it not long ago. It seemed to be plenty fancy.
Back in 1986 years xlt was the main luxury model. Ford added more deluxe models since then. Looked into them tremors just for the posi front differential.

I went with the Tremor package as you get front limited slip, 35” tires, the side steps are mounted higher, the front air dam is shorter and the vent lines are up higher. I do have To drive through deep water at times . I spend a lot of time on dirt forest roads in northern Wisconsin and the UP.

The F150 and Ranger Tremors aren’t quite the same as the 250/350.

My 06 f350 has been through a lot of stuff over the years . but is still a sweet ride. at 1 point she needed brakes, tires, and heads . so I parked her in the woods for about 5 years until I could afford to fix her up. Dug her out of the woods and cut down 2 trees that had fallen on her, and took her to the shop for mechanical repairs. Now she gets used to haul about 4 days a week. either a 22 ft bumper pull flat bed. or a 30ft 4 horse gooseneck trailer. at 1 time she use to pull a 45 ft gooseneck flatbed with my tractor and skid steer plus attachments. but when business got bad I sold that trailer. My daughter named the truck Tweetie lol. I wanted to name it Woodstock.

An Amarillo yellow! Hold on to her, they are getting harder and harder to find.

I'm just now seeing this thread, so here is the F350 I picked up back in late October.

That's why I stopped doing grocery pickup - half gallon of milk expires tomorrow, loaf of bread expires in 2, avocado was ripe 3 days ago, and the bananas are so soft they qualify as baby food.

It's the price to pay for being too lazy to go do your own.

It's not always laziness. My wife gets them delivered partially because of a busy schedule and if she did have the time she has to take our autistic son with. Having an 8 yr old stemming and jumping around isn't exactly great for grocery shopping.

I've done it and just about every time I almost fight people for comments or looks given because they don't understand autistic kids. Needless to say delivered groceries has been a blessing.

My elderly parents are another good example of how great grocery delivery can be. But there are as you pointed out lazy people I suppose that get them delivered also.

We do pickup because of our busy schedule and as much frustrated she gets she still does it because it saves time. That said Walmart has gotten really bad with missing items
