A little up date for those interested in the new 7.3 , 10 speed, Tremor. I now have 350 ish miles on the truck. A mix of interstate and back roads, a few miles of muddy spring break up forest roads. Yes this new truck has seen some muddy forest roads already. The trucks display is showing 12.9 mpg. Not great, but this is a one ton truck with a off road package. my 2016 F250 with the 6.2 was showing 12.8 for the life of the truck when I traded it in.

Seems to have tons of power. Went over the tower drive bridge in 10th gear . The old truck would down shift to 4rth or even 3rd . It did down shift to 8th going up the Wausaukee hill but the old 6.2 would have been down to 4rth or 3rd. The F350 Tremor seems to ride better on rutted forest roads better than the 250 did. The Tremors goodyear tires grip snow and mud far better than the Michelin’s that came with the Fx4.

Eric thanks for the update. What rear end did you end up with?

it has the Tremor package, so it has the 4.30 gears ,along with 35” off road tires. Neither of those are going to help with freeway mpg. I don’t spend much time on the interstate , and I do a lot of short trips. Quite a bit of time on forest roads, which is why I got a Tremor.
