Anyone used a soil conditioner before? I have some soil issues in a couple spots at our new house. I pretty much turned the place upside down so there is places with top soil on the bottom and bottom soil on the top. The soil I have in the front yard is as hard as concrete in spots. They sell stuff with kelp in it that is supposed to loosen soil and promote drainage and root growth. You just spray the stuff on. Anyone use anything like this?

Never used anything like that. If you can plant the areas in alfalfa or clover it will change the ground and allow it to drain. I cannot see a magical spray doing it. But if it works, i will but a ton of it as I have some very heavy ground around me.

Well its mostly my front yard so dont think alfalfa would be good. Lol.

I am going to try it. Slkpk Bob on MTF has used it with good results. Kinda makes sense if you can make something grow down in the soul it would help make it loose.
