I have a 1953 JD 50 with an engine driven pto. I can't get the pto clutch to move at all but the engine bogs down when trying to. I have the owners manual, parts book and service manual. Any ideas before I start taking it apart? I have limited ability but I'm not afraid to bust my knuckles and make a few mistakes. Thanks

Stuch PTO JD 50

I took the cover off and it was siezed up around the shaft, soaked it in penetrating oil and used a pipe wrench to break it loose.

Stuck PTo JD 50

It is engine driven PTO. The previous owner never used the pto causing it to seize up.

Could you move the clutch lever before the repair? Mine doesn't budge at all. Thanks
