We buy Deere because it is the premium brand.
Then many go cheap price shopping for all the implements and bash those that still stick with the premium brands.

I don't get the horn thing.

Y'all driving in NYC? One hand on the horn and the other finger out the window?

But horns do have their place in a tractor.
I've seen and used them in construction equipment for getting a ground persons attention.

Never needed to use one in a ag tractor, but then, I can whistle.

Want a horn? Add it during the buying phase of afterwards. If it isn't an option it is two wires, a fuse, a button and a horn. Not that hard to do.

I don't want to pay for an option I don't need or want.

Should every tractor come with everything possible?

Yes Sir, here is your new gps enabled tractor with SCV, 3rd, 4th, 5th ports, power beyond, filled rears + wheel weights, R4's + R3's & R1's, FEL, auto connect MMM, backhoe, pallet forks, grapple, rock bucket, snow plow & blower, snow push, iMatch, x6 suitcase weights, ballast box, box blade, land plane, rear blade, subsoiler, posthole digger, bush hog, flail mower, wood chipper, hay baler and spinner knob.

Nope, ya gotta buy it all. Everything we make is standard equipment. Only comes one way - with everything we make.

Oh yeah, and we included an engine driven air compressor for your big arse air horn. That sucker will knock over a Kubota at 50 yards.

I'm being sarcastic here and in my weird way trying to be funny as well, but this is a John Deere forum.......

You can get pretty much any option they make that you want added to it.

Honestly, even if they came with everything imaginable, there would be someone out there that would want something the manufacturer didn't think of.

I agree with mr b except 3rd function and rear remotes is becoming more standard on some tractors
#rd function is an option for some JD models. Before the pandemic stupidity some dealers, like mine were ordering that option for their floorplan. Mine was on the lot with it factory installed. They had to order & install the power beyond that isn't so popular.

4th & 5th - Don't judge popularity by forum's. Forum's can be like having dinner with the Jone's every night and then you go broke trying to keep up with them.

Now post-pandemic and in the supply chain shortage era - if you want it now you buy what they have or you order it and wait for their convenience to build it. This, like the Whan Flu, won't ever go away.

JD ='s Burger King - “Have It Your Way

The wait time is a bit longer though, but at Burger King you have to wait in the drive through line burning $5/gal gas because the dining room is still closed.

Leo Getts told us what happens at the drive through.

I think a small panel with a half dozen pre-wired switches would be nice so when we do start installing our own options
Nice? The difference is what is nice for you isn't for others. Wanna pay for what they think is nice.

You pay the upcharge. Your choice, for yours or for everyone's.

You should know how this works Mr. Boat salesman.

Pre-wire all your boats and don't raise the price.
