What is the factory rating for an x758's hydraulic pressure at the SCV? I'm getting a gauge to check my 2520 and figured I may as well check the x758 too.

I thought the k92 was spec’d to 1500psi?
I believe 1500 psi is a theoretical max rating for the K92, but JD set the IRV at 975 PSI on the X7 series. When owners "shim" for an FEL, they typically bump it up to around 1100-1200 psi. Some brave souls take it up higher.

The X758 uses the K90 (or is it K91?). But I imagine it has a similar spec.

The 4x5’s use a k91, and go to 1250 psi. I shimmed my 445. Thx x series has k92 in the two wheel steer models, and I’m pretty sure it’s spec’d at 1500.

If your not using a loader I’m wondering why your checking? It doesn’t take much for steering or any implement lifts, and being separated from drive pressure there isn’t really any reason to mess with it even if it’s low if it does what you need.

My 445 was in the 1050 range before shimming.

My 420 is about 650 psi and will lift 600 lbs on the 3 point without even straining. The spec on that is 850-875.

Keith, yes the transmission has a design spec of 1500 psi, but JD uses an IRV set at +/- 975 on the previous X7 Ultimate Series AWD models, and I don't believe it was any higher on the 2WS non-AWD models. So that is about what BigBlue should measure with his gauge unless JD made a change on the latest X7 Signature Series.

BigBlue, did you take the measurement?

I'm putting together a gauge to check the pressure in my 2520 just out of curiosity (to see if there is any room for improvement of the loader capacity) and so I figured I'd check the x758 just for the heck of it. I have no problems with the x758 and no reason to believe it is out of spec.

Got my gauge put together and tested the system today. Looks like my x758 is right about 925# which is pretty much right where Deere's specs say it should be (got the exact numbers from my dealer's service manager = 924psi).

On a side note, if there is anyone in the central MN area (near Hutchinson) you're welcome to borrow my gauge to test your tractor.

You know, now that you mention it, I believe the X748 was also +/-924 psi.

Good to hear you’re right on spec.
