I picked this up a couple of years ago when we (wife) decided she wanted pavers in the driveway. I figured owning one would be easier in the long run and I could work at my pace. It came with a smooth bucket and forks also the original rusted out bucket. I cut the old bucket in half and added teeth to it for digging and it had worked well.
The gentleman that owned it before me was OCD and replaced/rebuilt everything on it then decided he wanted a bigger unit. JD 125 40HP diesel. I am thinking I will sell it once all the pavers are done this year. I live in town now and do not see much use for it on a large city lot. With the current market I should even make some money on it.

It doesn't look like it has a cage. We lost a farmer here a few years ago when he had the boom up and was reaching outside of the cockpit under the boom when his body leaned on the hydraulics lowering the boom across his body. Tragic. Just a reminder, and one of the reasons they now all come with cages.
My bad, when I expanded the photo I can see the cage. Sorry.

one picture has the cage on one has it off. I had to take it off to get it in the garage being it only had a 7 foot door. My new shop has 8 foot doors so the cage will be going bacon very soon.
I like the freedom of no cage but hesitate and think about every move for safety reasons.
