I bought Artillians from Chris at his house. I live close so free shipping. My #1 consideration was weight and I will say I have maxed out lifting ability of the tractor countless times, probably in the hundreds, so if moving a lot of weight is in your future then you should seriously consider starting out weight. With all the options the Artillian frame sold me and I can say it will take whatever you try and make it do. Fork length is up to you.

Don't get me wrong, if the opportunity presented itself to get the Artillian's at a reasonable price, I'd likely be all over it, but ordering from Curtis/Artillian after factoring in shipping and Artillian Premium (which is justifiable) it's just not the right value for me.

I know I got the frontier set for my 2520 years ago and they work great. They are the 48 set and they work on my 3720 now so that’s a plus. I can’t remember the model fight now but they are probably on the heavier side. I think the 2520 could lift about 6-700 pounds with them on.

Pallet fork attachment choices. 1025R

I'm looking at adding pallet forks to my 1025R tool box. Any thoughts on an actual pallet fork attachment ($$$) vs bucket clamp on forks ($)? I worry about durability issues with the clamp on forks, but they are about half the cost. Thanks.

I was originally planning on Frontier pallet forks, but the price when I ordered my 2025R in January was about $900. My dealer offered WorkSaver Forks and I think the price was about $650 if I recall. They have been good forks. Have had no problems. A little over 200 lbs, so comparable to the Artillian size but a bit heavier.

I have two of the JD Quick Tach forks from Titan, both 42" tines. Happy with both. I don't mind that they don't have the top frame. If I cared about that, then I'd weld something on. I added hooks onto the upper corners of one of the frames. I haven't gotten around to adding the hooks on the newest one. Sad to see that the prices have gone up so much, but glad that I won't need any more.

New questions are fine, but asking someone to do their homework for them isn't. How hard is going on-line and looking up prices for yourself? And stating what the brand he had decided to purchase is? This sort of post just rubs me the wrong way. "Hey, guys, just do my work for me; I can't be bothered to search or look at the recommended reading."

The new thread on forks really serves as an eye opener for the cost of the things nowadays. Wow. Even the junkers I got from Amazon are as much as JD forks would have cost me a year ago. They went up $40 between 2015 and 2020, then up another $125 since 2020.

I like the forks are forks comment earlier. Personally I think we worry a little too much about what pallet forks to get. They are indeed a great implement and after having them I wouldn't be without them, but I don't really need them to be as tough as an industrial lift truck. The cheapest Titans are strong enough to pick up another 1025R but the tractor can't come close to picking it, so I think the ones I have will hold up OK.

The biggest reason for choosing the Titans for me was the hitch receiver built in. If the Frontier forks frame came with that I would have bought those with the tractor purchase for close enough to the same cost.

Whichever forks you get, do the simple little mod of lengthening the cutout in the center for removing the forks from the frame to let you remove both of them at once from the tractor seat. I wish I could remember who posted that a while back so I could thank him again, and I haven't even done it to my own fork frame yet!

I have a JD 2032r and I bought titan forks and have abused the hell out of them for the last 4 years or so. They are stronger than my tractor's lifting capacity. Get those. You will not regret it. And YES you need forks probably more than any other attachment. You will see.

I have the Deere forks, and like that the tines are locked for rotation (makes digging out stumps and rocks easier IMO) and also slide in and out from center.
Also made it easy to mount THE Thumb grapple.

Are heavy duty.. and easily modified to fit the 3ph iMatch for moving heavy pallet loads.

I have to say, I'm underwhelmed by my Artillian forks. They lock in place on the top, but not on the bottom--they can and do move on the track. I've tried to pick up items such as a balled tree, and as I drive the bottom of the forks start to spread and the tree drops. There should be a locking mechanism on the bottom too. If you're just lifting pallets, they will work fine.

I just went through this decision. The 42" titan forks are nice in that they have the receiver hitch and they're cheap at $675. But they weigh in at 300-330# and have no guard/backrest. The artillian weigh about 193# or 213# with the backrest. They're pricey at $1500 shipped (with the backrest). Add another 20# and $100 if you want the 3k weight rating and receiver hitch. In comparison the Frontier AP10 weigh in at just under 200# have an undersized backrest and cost $875. I went with the Frontiers. I wish they had the receiver hitch, but happy to be saving 130ish pounds over the Titan's and gaining a backrest.

The days of $400 forks seem to have passed.

I have a set of 42” Frontier (AP10F) on my 2032R and have been very happy with them. Ordered them direct from my dealer and they were around $600 IIRC. I also looked at the Artillian’s but found it tough to justify the additional $$$ for my usage. Titan is another brand that is popular with some folks.

I bought the titan,and have used them hard,taking out rocks and stumps,they are great and I paid half what deere wanted.

I'm not aware of any "tractor" pallet forks that lock in place on the bottom.. Put the on in the center and slide left or right as needed and set the top pin.
