Towable backhoes

Well I have to respectfully disagree with some of the comments above. I bought one and I love it, it's a great compliment to my tractor. Of course a hoe on my 1026R would be nicer, but this little towable is half the price. And in the way I work it it is real nice to have quick access to my 3 point hitch for things like a box blade or rake. True, they are made rather light weight and I am sure a guy can break things if you push it, but when you learn how to operate it you know it's limits. It digs great when you use the geometry of the rig to brace it and know the proper way to use the controls. I have dug out big stumps and ripped out many ground level roots and some shallow trenches. I haven't had to go too deep with it yet, but they say it can dig 7' deep (?). So, I don't regret buying it for my situation at all but it's not likely for everyone.
