That machine would be un-stoppable. A normal D is already a beast, but a half-track D has got to be a real monster.

I wonder how hard it would be to build one...

A "conversion",, it would seem, would be very slow??:dunno:

The sprocket driving the track is only 1/3 the size of the tire,,,
so it would only go 1/3 as fast.

The prototypes were probably re-geared?

I think Lindiman was attempting to put them on the JD tractors. There is some on the GP series as well. The BO turned out to be the easiest for them though to mount a kit on. Eventually Jd bought them out and kept the family working for them.
