There are standalone apps, and I'm not sure which is the best. But, through John Deere Property Center you can setup your property, geo-fencing, track your equipment (after you install the JD Link modem), and connect/sync with other standalone apps (there is a list of compatible ones, I'll see if I can find it again). Although I am still in the early stages of learning about it, the JD Link looks awesome. My dealer salesman is going to a seminar this week and is going to fill me in.

To setup Property Center, you just need to create a John Deere account and sign in.
