If ownership has never been transferred to a buyer (still belongs to Deere/dealer), I would consider it new, and hours accumulated would make it a demonstrator. If ownership has been transferred from the dealer, it would be a used machine, even with only a few hours on it. If it's a demo, chances are the use has been controlled and is known. If you get a used machine, that has been owned by some unknown person, who knows what has been done with it or to it that may not be obvious, including maintenance or the lack of it.

It becomes used when an individual or company buys it from the dealer, passing ownership from the dealer to you. Otherwise, it is a demo or new and still belongs to the dealer.

Any tractor with more than a couple of hours on it, I would consider a demo..... If the unit has been sold and operated by its new owner, it is used.... IMHO
Sincerely
