I know the guy that made the 36 JD "A" & the Farmall, all made from scratch! Welded up pieces & machined, for one of them he did find a carburetor that fit. He said the hardest part on the "A" was the tapered axle housings, since they aren't a straight taper. And, yes, they both start & run!

I usually go to a bigger show this weekend, but since the wife had surgery a couple days ago I just took "PK" to a small display about 15 miles away. This was in Jamesport, MO, a small Amish community where my mother grew up, their annual fall "Heritage Festival".

I like small shows more than the big one. Mostly it's "gemütlicher" there - and often the meal is better. So Sunday the 18th we were at a small potatoes-fest. Only some tractors but a bunch of potato-specialities :good2:
