I am making a list of all the items I need as a new owner of a 2003 2210 tractor with loader. I have spent hours combing forums and it seems overly complicated for some reason, so here I go.

What Transmission oil do I put in my tractor? J20C or J20D? or an easier to obtain (autoparts store equivilent/alternative) I live in Massachusetts and will use the tractor year round since I have a snowblower. Thank you.

I think you may be over thinking this a little. I would use the Low Vis. Here is what is recommended in your manual. Hope this helps.

Transmission and Hydraulic Oil
IMPORTANT: Avoid damage! Use recommended oil only. Do not use engine oil or "Type F" automatic transmission fluid.

Use oil viscosity based on the expected air temperature range during the period between oil changes.
John Deere Low Viscosity HY-GARD® Transmission/Hydraulic Oil is recommended. Standard John Deere HY-GARD® Transmission/Hydraulic Oil may also be used.
Other oils may be used if they meet John Deere standard JDM J20D or J20C.

I use Low-Viscosity Hy-Gard, J20D in our 2320.
Dealer recommends the J20D over the J20C for our area.

If your'e looking for a good price on Lo-vis, I just ordered 14 qts for $3.95/qt and $6 shipping from
https://www.greentoysandmore.com/products/john-deere-low-viscosity-hy-gard-transmission-hydraulic-oil-quart-ty22035

Gotta do my 50 hour tranny/hydro change soon.

Thank you everyone. Sometimes the interwebs have too many cooks, you guys straightened it right out. Thank you.

How about grease? I have the tractor, loader, mower, snowblower. I was thinking of getting the John Deere Multi-Purpose SD Polyurea Gun Grease - TY6341 for the tractor and loader grease points as well as some on the mower, and then the John Deere Special-Purpose HD Moly Gun Grease - TY6333 for the snowblower.

I know EVERYONE has input on grease, but does having those two make sense, or just use the Polyurea for everything?

That will be fine what you get from JD. One is green and one is grey. Poly is good for everything
